Technology Transfer Forum Highlights Israel-Africa Media Innovations

AIMEN hosted the inaugural Africa-Israel Technology Transfer Forum in Lagos, a landmark event that brought together over 200 media professionals, technology innovators, and policy experts to explore how innovation can redefine journalism and communication across Africa.

The two-day forum focused on how Israeli technological advancements — including artificial intelligence, real-time fact-checking tools, and satellite broadcasting systems — can help African media houses modernize their operations and enhance content accuracy.

Panel discussions featured Israeli startup founders, African tech journalists, and government representatives who explored opportunities for collaboration in data-driven reporting, newsroom automation, and digital audience engagement.

According to AIMEN’s Director of Programs, “Technology transfer is not just about equipment; it’s about sharing knowledge, systems, and innovation mindsets. This is what will truly accelerate Africa’s media growth.”

The forum concluded with the unveiling of the AIMEN Innovation Exchange Platform, a digital hub designed to connect African and Israeli media innovators, foster mentorship, and facilitate joint research projects in media technology.
